Aspen Music Festival and School Bucksbaum Production Staff  

The Bucksbaum Production Staff serves as the production crew for the Bucksbaum Campus, Aspen School District and various venues throughout the city of Aspen. The members of this team staff a myriad of events such as registration, rehearsals, benefits, auditions, meetings, and private concerts at all locations outside Harris Concert Hall and the Benedict Music Tent here at the Aspen Music Festival and School.  Individuals will work with orchestra and stage management to arrange accurate and timely orchestral setups along with offering a presence at rehearsals. Additionally, this team is responsible for the loading in and out of our annual inventory of pianos (approximately 185 in total) as well as preparing our seasonal teaching/practice/office facilities in setting up seasonal equipment (e.g. chairs, music stands, office equipment) in these spaces. Tasks primarily include implementing rehearsal/stage set-ups and changeovers and maintaining impeccable schedules to coordinate the moving of all AMFS equipment. In addition, production staff assists in maintaining the cleanliness and efficient and effective operation of all facilities. Along with the normal work load, this crew also works regularly with other departments, (library, development, marketing, housing, etc.) on special events in the moving of equipment and materials. This is a full time seasonal position with limited overtime. Fluctuating schedule with evening and weekend hours to be expected. This position is supervised by the Bucksbaum Production Manager.    

Qualifications:  Candidates should have first-hand experience with classical music concert production/stage management, must be able to move extremely heavy equipment extensively and must be able to follow directions thoroughly and responsibly. Candidates MUST be team-oriented and must have the ability to complete a rigorous work list with excellent endurance and a positive attitude. Candidates must also be flexible in addressing the demands of a variety of constituents. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. A DMV background check will be conducted for candidate(s) hired.

Compensation: Hourly wage plus seasonal housing   

Duration: Late May/early June through late August, exact dates negotiable
